What working here is actually like
You will run sprints. Real ones, for real companies, with your name in the contract and a date you are expected to hit. That is the job, and it is a serious one. We do not hide behind a project manager, and neither will you.
You will use AI tools every day, openly, and you will review every line they produce. We expect judgment, not just speed. The hard parts of this job, the data model, the failure modes, the call about what not to build, are still yours.
You will work across Chicago and India hours, but not at strange times. The overlap window is short and deliberate. The rest of the day is heads-down. We protect that.

Senior Engineer, Next.js and Supabase
Own full-stack sprints end to end: the App Router front end and the Postgres schema underneath it. You will ship one production feature every 14 days, for real companies, with your name in the contract.
Senior Engineer, AI Integrations
Build AI features that know when to refuse. Retrieval layers, bounded agents, and the eval discipline that keeps them honest. You treat a model call as the last resort, not the first.
Senior Engineer, Backend and Postgres
Own the work where a bug is also a refund: metered billing, reconciliation, payments. Append-only ledgers, idempotency keys, and deterministic math that holds up in diligence.
Founding Engineer
Join the founding engineering team. Shape how Holdfast builds: the toolchain, the sprint method, the standards. Senior across the stack, with a real stake in the studio.
Engineering Operations Lead
Keep the sprint machine running. Scheduling, client communication cadence, tooling, and the metrics that prove we ship on time. The role that makes the deadline reliable.
